At Wonder Years Childcare Center, we provide year-round child education and developmental training on a five day a week schedule. The environment is safe, healthy and supportive for children ages two to five, or until they are ready for kindergarten.
Our operating hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday with the exception of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. Any announcements regarding school closures, or changes to our hours of operation, can be found on the parent information board. Having a backup childcare provider is recommended, just in case. Also, we ask parents to call in and inform teachers or administrators, if their children are absent from class.
We accept children that are not yet potty trained, while working with parents to help their children become trained. The process is very supportive and helpful for children, allowing them to become more independent and responsible. Given the busy nature of most parents’ lives, help with a child’s potty training can be a real asset. For children that are still in diapers, their parents are charged $25 and are responsible for providing their child’s diapers and wipes.
We provide a healthy and nutritious breakfast, hot lunch and two snacks to help children develop the proper eating habits. Parents can find a copy of the monthly menu on the parent information board, and copies of the menu are available upon request. Our meals are prepared fresh daily, by our kitchen staff. The cost of the meals is included in monthly tuition payments, making it easy for parents to pay for their child’s education and meals all at once. Parents with children that are on special diets, or that have food allergies, need to let us know at the time of enrollment.
Full-time programs are available five days a week from the hours of 7:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The program is designed to support parents and their children in a comprehensive way, making the learning process easier for kids and childcare as convenient as possible for parents. The five day week program comes with a morning snack, breakfast, afternoon hot lunch and afternoon snack. Additional information on program options is available via school administrators, along with resources describing program features.
We currently offer a music and movement class free of charge to our families and their children. We also offer a KID-FIT preschool PE class, which is $10 per month in addition to monthly tuition payments. Optional services enhance children’s development, making them more well-rounded and adept at transitioning to the next stage of their educational career. We are constantly looking at ways to improve and add to our optional services, making our curriculum as effective and engaging as possible.
